Dear All,
Greetings from Belize!
Here is an article that was published on our rosary ministry in the Christian Herald, a local Catholic newspaper, this month.
The 9th of every month our rosary group meets at someone's house to pray the rosary in honor of Our Lady. A few years ago, on the 9th of February, one of our friends was going through a particular trial and prayed to Our Lady for help. That same day, as she was about to get a tissue out of the tissue box, she noticed that on the tissue was a beautiful image of Our Lady. She took it to a priest to show him and a plastic see-through case has been put around the tissue with Our Lady's image. The image is taken to the house in which the rosary will be prayed on the 9th of the month.
On June 9, 2010, I attended the rosary session in a home. It was a very beautiful reunion, as my godmother, who is visiting from Miami, got to meet several of her friends in Belize who she has not seen in several years. That same night we signed a petition to end abortion in Belize. Today, Father's Day marks the end of a 40-day perpetual adoration program in Belize, where Catholics have been invited to pray to end abortion in Belize. They have also been invited to obtain several thousand signatures so as to over-turn the law on abortion.
Upon leaving the home after the rosary session, I opened the back door of the jeep for my godmother and noticed several small pieces of glass on the seat of the jeep. When I looked at the window of the jeep, it had been completely removed and I noticed that my laptop was stolen. The laptop contains a lot of church-related material, including all the talks I have given to the youth at Charismatic Conventions and youth rallys, all the rosary pictures, some other pictures of mine while I visited other countries, some St. Vincent de Paul information and information on other ministries in the church here in Belize that I assist with. Fortunately, we should have several of the pictures saved elsewhere and I had just finished praying the rosary ---- I had a tremendous peace amidst it all. Nevertheless, the Lord has been teaching me that although the loss of the information is great, He will bring about new talks, new speeches and new beginnings as a result of this. I have been praying for the conversion of the thief and ask you to please help us pray for our rosary ministry and the conversion of our nation.
God's blessings to all of you.....
